Each year USA Today celebrates the top 10 new hotels in the country, selected by their readers. A panel of hotel experts give their top 20 picks and USA Today allows their readers to choose the winners. The Asbury in Asbury Park, NJ was voted number one this year. So what made The Asbury the number one new hotel in the country?

“Imagined as a hotel and social hub in Asbury Park, The Asbury features a grab-and-go kitchen, ground-floor lounge with ping pong and board games, a community table and a pool during the warmer months. Amenities in the 110 guest rooms include large closets, custom-made mattresses and stellar seaside views.”

The Asbury boasts 4,800 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, perfect for a small meeting for executives. It’s also a short drive down 195 from our office located in the Greater Princeton Area.

Hotel Emma in San Antonio snagged the number 2 spot on the list. Hotel Emma was originally built as a brewery in 1881 before becoming San Antonio’s top boutique hotel.  The 146-room hotel sits on the banks of the San Antonio River in the city’s Pearl District with 6,500 square feet of meeting space.

Andaz Scottsdale Resort and Spa rounds out the top 3. This hotel just opened in November 2016 and is already creating buzz. With over 20,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meetings set in the picturesque Arizona desert, this hotel is sure to be a new hot spot for meeting planners.
